Aespa to Perform at Mawazine Music festival in Morocco, First K-Pop female group to do so

K-pop sensation aespa is set to make history this June by becoming the first female K-pop group to perform at Africa’s largest music festival, Mawazine. The group is scheduled to take the stage at the OLM Souissi venue in Rabat, Morocco, on June 24, 2025, as part of the festival’s 20th anniversary edition.

Mawazine, held annually in Rabat since 2001, is one of the world’s biggest music festivals, drawing over 2.5 million attendees each year. It showcases a diverse lineup of international and local artists. In 2024, ATEEZ became the first K-pop act to perform at the festival. ​

aespa’s groundbreaking appearance at Mawazine highlights their expanding global influence. Known for their innovative concepts and chart-topping hits, the group has achieved significant milestones, including multiple top 50 entries on the Billboard 200 chart. ​
